is the name of a mythical land described by Virgil in the Aeneid.
A place where vineyards and wine flowed in abundance, the fruit of the labour of its people: the Oenotri.
Enotria is the name of our winery, founded in 1974 in honour of its history, its land and its fruit, created with the aim of cultivating communal vineyards, promoting its grapes, and producing popular and affordable wine.
The dream began in Cirò Marina, home to the winery, where the vineyards slope generously from the hills to the shores of the Ionian Sea.
Thirty hectares in three picturesque districts, cultivated using the spurred cordon method for black grapes and the Guyot method for white grapes, separated by the legendary State Road 106, which runs along the Ionian Sea from north to south, uniting peoples’ lives

The Cirò Marina DOC is one of the oldest Designations of Origin in Italy (1969), established by local producers to guarantee the provenance of the wines from this unique, ancient, and noble land. The DOC category includes the Cirò Bianco and Rosato appellations,
while the Rosso receives particular attention. In fact, it can also carry the appellations “Classico”, “Superiore” and “Riserva”.
The Rosso DOC must contain a minimum of 80% Gaglioppo, while the Cirò Bianco DOC must be produced with at least 80% Greco Bianco grapes.
